Cabaret for Charity Fundraiser

Nine of WOW’s cabaret performers took to the stage in Weymouth Pavilion’s Ocean Room as part of the entertainment for a fundraising day for Support Dogs and SUDEP Action. SUDEP action raises awareness of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy and support dogs can transform the lives of their owners, including those with epilepsy where the dogs can be trained to give a warning up to 50 minutes in advance of a seizure.

The group burst onto the stage with their rendition of the Madness hit Baggy Trousers. This was followed by the classy 42nd Street and a classic Rock ’n’ Roll medley. The set concluded with their sensational Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious routine from Mary Poppins.

This is the second year that WOW have supported this event. In addition to the live entertainment, the fundraising day had lots of fun activities for all the family, including a rodeo bull, panning for gold, a bouncy castle, children’s craft table and a large raffle.

Next up for the cabaret group is Mandy Burley’s London Marathon fundraising evening on Friday 16 March.
