Presidential Cabaret

Our cabaret group recently provided high quality after-dinner entertainment for delegates at the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) Presidential dinner dance in Bristol. NODA’s incoming national president, Nick Lawrence, made the invitation backstage at Weymouth Pavilion after last April’s “WOW Show”, which was directed and choreographed by Martine Burt. WOW Chairman, Alan McKechan said, “With around 300 societies in the South West it is a great honour for WOW to be chosen to perform to a national audience at this special event.”
The group of 13 youngsters performed six musical theatre numbers ranging from the classic “42nd Street” to the latest musical sensation, “Alexander Hamilton”. Martine adapted her choreography for this smaller group and the youngsters worked hard in rehearsals to ensure their performances matched her high expectations.

Afterwards, a visibly moved NODA President thanked the WOW party for sharing in the wonderful weekend and doing something very special for him.

The performers throughly enjoyed the experience and Molly spoke for the group when she said, “I would have loved to do it all again!”
