Updates from WOW Alumni

Charlotte Rose Allen

Former WOW members are represented in a wide variety of roles across the entertainment industry from TV to film and theatre. WOW is always pleased to hear of their latest news and publishes a summary in the show programmes each year. Those who are in professional training or have recently graduated from their performing arts colleges are also included in the updates. Here’s an extended version of the alumni update from our programme for ‘Me and My Girl’.

Charlotte Rose Allen: engaged as lead vocalist and entertainer in a Tui Hotel in Cyprus for the summer season and will be performing as a pro-dancer in ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ at the Tachi-Morris Arts Centre in Taunton this Christmas.

 

Lewis Asquith: currently playing James Prince in ‘Soho Cinders’ at the Soho Theatre, London.

Matthew Barrow: currently touring in ‘Sunset Boulevard’ as swing and ensemble. The show comes to the Mayflower in February when Chris Taylor’s Wey Valley Community Theatre Club has a couple of coaches booked for one of the performances.

Adrian Bevan: now graduated from Laine Theatre Arts; off to play Aladdin in Lichfield with Evolution this Christmas.

Lucy Bone: studying musical theatre on a foundation course at Bird College.

Josh Brunell: just graduated from Bird College and auditioning for professional roles.

Jamie Chapman (Pearce): is in the UK tour of ‘Nativity, the musical’ and can also be seen in the new series of ‘Red Dwarf’, currently showing on Dave.

Martin Collier: still singing, writing and producing music and has just produced a compilation of 20th anniversary photos celebration for the Dorset Youth Service and Entebbe, Africa Project.

Mark Collins: Associate Musical Director for ‘DreamGirls’ in the West End.

Denize Creed (née Parkes): freelance Stage Manager/Assistant Art Director on the ‘Graham Norton Show’ (featured image above).

Adam James Dawson (Nash): currently on stage as swing/first cover Claude, in the 50th Anniversary production of ‘Hair’ at the Vaults Theatre, London.

Chris Ellis-Stanton; now a Dad and works primarily on TV and film; just started filming for a TV series but can’t say what yet due to strict NDA ruling, so watch this space.

Callum Heinrich: second year Musical Theatre at Guildford School of Acting.

George Lyons: in his final year at Laine Theatre Arts; soon to be in ‘Peter Pan’ in Swindon this Christmas with Qudos.

Shannon Parfitt: first year training in Musical Theatre at Italia Conte Academy of Theatre Arts. Also performing with West End Kids.

Becky-Jane Poole (née King): now married and living in the Netherlands; part of a team filming a fitness DVD and also teaching LAMDA online.

Samantha Roberts (née Langridge): Still working on the Star Wars franchise as the Creature Department Coordinator. Just about to finish filming on the next instalment, which is the untitled Han Solo movie. The ‘Last Jedi’ comes out in December and we will begin prepping for episode 9 shortly.

Lucy Scott: second year training in Musical Theatre at Birds College.

Charlotte Anne Steen: currently appearing in the West End hit musical ‘42nd Street’ at Drury Lane as Assistant Dance Captain and swing.
