Grease to replace Shrek in 2022

WOW has announced the cancellation of its production of Shrek, the Musical due to be staged at Weymouth Pavilion in April 2021. The show, had already had to be postponed twice due to the COVID lockdowns. The Pavilion will automatically transfer Shrek tickets to WOW’s April 2022 production of the hit musical Grease. The Box Office will contact all ticket holders as soon as possible and are asking them to wait to be contacted. Transferred Shrek tickets will be at the same price, giving a saving of £2 per ticket against the purchase price of new Grease tickets.

WOW Chairman, Alan McKechan, said, “We very much hope ticket holders will be able to attend Grease as, after such a tough year, we need the support of the community more than ever!”

“We share the disappointment of all those looking forward to presenting or watching Shrek, but our cast will bring their abundant talent and youthful energy to make Grease an electrifying alternative for Easter 2022. “

Grease will be WOW’s first full musical since the acclaimed Easter 2019 production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The dates for Grease are Wednesday 13th to Saturday 16th April, 2022 each evening at 7pm with a matinee at 2pm on Saturday 16th April. More details are available on this link.
